Willpower
Chronic dieting lowers your metabolic rate, spikes hunger hormones, and trains your body to hold onto fat. It's not a personal failure — it's biology working against you.
GLP-1 medications like semaglutide and tirzepatide correct this by restoring the hormonal signals that regulate appetite, insulin, and satiety. The result isn't just weight loss — it's a fundamentally different relationship with food.
Under Amber's clinical supervision, your protocol is built around your physiology, lifestyle, and goals — not a one-size-fits-all algorithm.

Amber will recommend the right medication based on your health history, goals, and how your body responds. All options are compounded by licensed, FDA-registered pharmacies — third-party tested for potency, sterility, and purity.
Semaglutide
GLP-1 Receptor Agonist · Once-Weekly InjectionThe most clinically studied GLP-1 medication. Reduces appetite, slows gastric emptying, and improves insulin sensitivity. The most common starting point for new patients.
- Once-weekly subcutaneous injection
- Weeks 1–4: 0.25 mg · Weeks 5–6: 0.5 mg
- Average 10–15% total body weight loss
- Compounded with B12 at a licensed pharmacy
Tirzepatide
GLP-1 + GIP Dual Agonist · Once-Weekly InjectionA dual-action medication targeting two hormonal pathways simultaneously. Typically produces more significant weight loss than semaglutide alone — ideal for patients who want stronger results.
- Once-weekly subcutaneous injection
- Weeks 1–4: 2.5 mg · Weeks 5–6: 5 mg
- Average 15–20% total body weight loss in trials
- Ideal for patients who need a stronger response
Orforglipron
Oral GLP-1 · Daily Tablet · No InjectionsAll the benefits of GLP-1 therapy in a daily oral tablet — no needles, no syringes. The same appetite-regulating mechanism as injectable GLP-1s, just taken by mouth. Ideal for injection-averse patients.
- Daily oral tablet — no needles required
- Same GLP-1 mechanism as injectable options
- Multiple dosing and supply options available
- Ask Amber if you're a candidate
Retatrutide

A Realistic Timeline
Honest expectations, not highlight reels. Here's what most patients experience in their first 90 days.
Your Body Is Adapting
Mild nausea is common as your body adjusts — this is expected and typically resolves by week 3. Appetite begins to decrease. Energy may fluctuate. Starting on a low dose is key to minimizing discomfort.
The "Quiet" Begins
"Food noise" — the constant mental chatter about eating — begins to quiet. Portion sizes naturally decrease without forced restriction. First noticeable weight loss for most patients.
Consistent, Measurable Loss
Weight loss becomes more consistent and noticeable. Clothes fit differently. Energy levels typically improve significantly. Average cumulative loss at 8 weeks: 4–10 lbs depending on starting weight and protocol.
New Setpoint Forming
Your body is settling into a new metabolic pattern. Cumulative loss at 90 days typically ranges from 10–18 lbs. Protocol may be adjusted upward. Habits formed in this phase tend to stick long-term.
Sustained Results & Maintenance Planning
Continued progress toward your goal weight. Provider discussions begin around maintenance strategy — some patients taper dose, others continue. Long-term success is always the goal.

Weight Loss FAQ
Questions not answered below require a clinical conversation — not a text. Book a brief consultation here.
How is the medication administered?
Injectable GLP-1s are given as a once-weekly subcutaneous injection — a very small needle, just under the skin, similar to how a diabetic uses insulin. Most patients describe it as virtually painless and are fully comfortable by their second dose. We include a step-by-step video tutorial below. Orforglipron is a daily oral tablet — no injections needed.
▶ Watch Injection TutorialWhat's in the compounded medication?
Your medication is prepared by a licensed, FDA-registered compounding pharmacy. Semaglutide is compounded with B12. All formulations are third-party tested for potency, sterility, and purity. You receive a vial, dosing syringe, and full instructions. We only work with accredited compounding partners — never gray-market or overseas suppliers.
How soon will I receive my medication?
Amber reviews your intake and issues a prescription within 48 hours when clinically appropriate. Medication ships from our compounding pharmacy and typically arrives within 5–7 business days. Most patients have their medication in hand within 7–10 days of completing their intake form.
What does the program cost after the first 6 weeks?
Monthly costs after your starter program vary depending on your dose and which medication you're on. Lower maintenance doses cost less than higher titration doses. Amber will walk you through ongoing costs at your first check-in — everything is transparent cash-pay with no surprise charges.
Is this program available for men?
Absolutely. GLP-1 therapy is equally effective for men and women. Many of our male patients also combine weight loss with testosterone optimization for even stronger results. Mention it during your intake and Amber will factor it into your protocol.
Do I need a prior GLP-1 prescription?
No — you do not need a prior prescription or referral. Simply complete the intake form and Amber evaluates your eligibility from scratch. If you've been on GLP-1s before, that history is helpful context but not required to get started.
What if I'm not approved?
If Amber determines you're not a candidate based on your intake, you will not be charged for medication. She will communicate her clinical reasoning clearly and may suggest an alternative path or referral. Your safety always comes first.
Do I need labs before starting?
Not always. Many patients can begin after completing the intake questionnaire. Amber may request recent labs for certain health histories. If you need labs, we'll guide you to a nearby LabCorp or Quest — no specialist referral required.
Are the medications FDA-approved?
The active ingredients (semaglutide, tirzepatide) have FDA approval for weight management. Our compounded versions are prepared by licensed, accredited pharmacies following strict pharmaceutical standards and are third-party tested for quality and purity.
What if I experience side effects?
Nausea, fatigue, and constipation are common in the first few weeks and manageable with the right dosing approach — which is exactly why starting slowly under clinical supervision matters. Message Amber directly through your patient portal if concerns come up.
Will I gain the weight back when I stop?
Some patients do regain weight after stopping. That's why we focus on building sustainable habits alongside medication — and why maintenance planning is built into every long-term program from the start.
Do you accept insurance?
We are a cash-pay practice — no insurance bureaucracy, no surprise bills, fully transparent pricing. We can provide a superbill for potential HSA/FSA reimbursement upon request.
Is this safe if I have diabetes or prediabetes?
GLP-1 medications were originally developed for type 2 diabetes management and are often ideal for patients with diabetes or prediabetes. Your full medical history is reviewed before any prescription is written.
How long will I need to be on medication?
It varies by patient. Some reach their goal weight and taper off successfully. Others benefit from long-term low-dose maintenance. Amber will work with you on a plan that makes sense for your life and your goals — there's no one-size-fits-all answer.
Still have questions?
We love helping our patients — but personalized medical questions deserve a real clinical conversation, not a text thread. If your question isn't answered above, please book a brief consultation with Amber. She'll give you a thorough, accurate answer based on your actual situation.
